Why a blog?

As I've been working on this I keep asking myself why I am starting a blog?

I haven't had the best track record of sticking with a blog in the past. But the more I think about it the more excited I get. Since college I have owned my own business (now I own two) & my brain switched gears into full time boss lady which I struggle switching off. I decided that this year I wanted to do some soul searching & get to know myself again. In the past I've tried blogging for both of my businesses & to be completely honest blogging for a business that already consumes most of your life is just exhausting. I decided to create a blog that was personal & filled with my favorite things. I want a creative outlet that doesn't have to be about just weddings or just the happenings at Fourteen & East (don't get me wrong, I adore being a business owner... most days!). I want this blog to represent snippets of my life & the things I enjoy doing - home styling, entertaining, shopping, traveling, & spending time with my favorite people. If no one reads the blog, that's ok, but if you enjoy it then welcome!
